This months "News Minute with Vered” briefly reviews the recently published book "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot. Henrietta Lacks is the donor of the cells that became the original immortal cell line that most of us know as HeLa cells. Our interview of the month is with Dr. Benjamin Blyth and Prof. Pamela Sykes on their recently published article discussing a method to detect bystander effects in vivo induced by low dose radiation.
