In her News Minute, Vered talks about NOTE, a new European Program dedicated to expand the current understanding of health effects caused by low-level doses of ionizing radiation. NOTE stands for Non-Targeted effects of ionizing radiation and the program funds studies focusing Bystander effects, adaptive response and genomic instability.

For the interview of the month, Tracy talks to Dr. Palitti, last author of the paper Apoptosis Preferentially Eliminates Irradiated G0 Human Lymphocytes Bearing Dicentric Chromosomes.

For the interview of the month, Sylvain Costes spoke to David Brenner from Columbia University in New York. David Brenner is the senior author of the article entitled Biophysical Models of Radiation Bystander Effects: Spatial Effects in Three-Dimensional Tissues. The discussion focuses on how reproducible Bystander experiments are before going into the specifics of Dr. Brenner’s work on Bystander effects and their implications.
