Call for Proposal for a New Grant Funding Opportunity
This project should aim to demonstrate decreased sensitivity to low-dose, chronic exposure, space-like radiation exposure, using for example a facility such as NASA’s Space Radiation Laboratory (https://www.bnl.gov/nsrl/), located on the campus of Brookhaven National Laboratory. These space-like radiation exposures should occur in a standard non-mammalian animal model (such as Drosophila, fish, or amphibian), followed by testing in rodents, if warranted.
This opportunity is for a single investigator, for a duration of up to three years, and a funding level of up to $400,000 per year.
