New Orleans a Great Success for the RRS 59th Annual Meeting

The 2013 planning committee, and conference planning team, are pleased to provide a very successful report on the fantastic meeting experience for our members at this year's meeting in New Orleans. The science presented covered a broad range of topics and represented a well balanced program between disciplines.

Some Highlights include:

Brand New! Media and Outreach Committee formed by our new President, Francis Cucinotta, during the annual meeting. Please CLICK HERE to read the first press release.

In addition to the new committee designed to improve our outreach, immediate Past President Tom K. Hei debuted the new RRS Video at the business meeting. This important project accomplished his Presidential initiative to increase public education and promote the significance and public health relevance of radiation research.

Other highlights of the meeting included a fabulous networking opportunity (with great local cuisine) at the welcoming reception. The true crowning jewel offered a "once in a lifetime" final night event including a private Mardi Gras parade culminating at the fabulous Generations Hall
in the Warehouse district of New Orleans.

Enjoy this special video highlight of the final event.
RRS sincerely thanks Earley Productions, the city of New Orleans, and our local Hosts planning partners for their exceptional hospitality; it will make next year's event in Las Vegas a challenge to up the stakes.

In closing, we thank each of you for your commitment to the Society. Please take a moment to mark your calendars for next year's event in Las Vegas. We've included preliminary details and highlights below.

Sincerely,

Your RRS Executive Team
