About the Webinar:

Please join Brian Canter as he outlines the presentations and research presented at the Radiation Research Society's Winter Workshop held March 4-6, 2020. The workshop covered challenges and solutions in targeted radionuclide-based therapies.

There were four broad topics covered by the talks:
1. Dosimetry and targets
2. Radiolabeling, isotopes and radiation quality effects
3. Theranostics/Companion diagnostics
4. Clinical implementation and translation

Learning Objectives:
Understand the difficulties in implementing targeted radionuclide-based therapies Understand proposed ways for overcoming these difficulties.

About Brian Canter:
Brian is a PhD candidate at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School working under Roger Howell. He studies the importance of the bystander effect in treating breast cancer that has spread to bone with Radium-223, an alpha particle emitting radiopharmaceutical. He is a recipient of a grant from the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research. He is also a member of the Scholars in Training (SIT) Committee for the Radiation Research Society, having helped reform the monthly SIT newsletter and the annual SIT workshop. Brian is also passionate about science communication, having led his research group in a Halloween skit incorporating principles of how radiation interacts with matter. He also produced, wrote and directed a video summary for his group’s recent publication in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
