Radiation Research Foundation Requests Applications for a Career Development Award
for Junior Investigators in the Radiation Sciences

The mission and goal of the Radiation Research Foundation is to encourage and develop the careers of junior investigators conducting research in any area of the radiation sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, epidemiology, etc.). The Career Development Award will fund a one-year grant of $10,000 to be used in support of activities that will further the development of a research career in the radiation sciences. The proposed activity may consist of a focused research project intended to provide critical preliminary data for subsequent applications for research funding, acquisition of new skills and techniques, establishment of a mentoring relationship, or development of peer collaborations. The application may be basic, translational, clinical, or epidemiological in nature, but must have direct applicability and relevance to the radiation sciences. Furthermore, while the quality and significance of the proposed project will be an important consideration during the review process, priority will be given to those applications that have the greatest potential to enhance and promote the career of the recipient.

The Instructions for Application and an Application Face Page are available for download.

Deadline for submission of an application is January 31, 2019.
